Volition America Adds 1.3K Mission March Benefiting Folds of Honor to Nationwide Series of Events
(PRWEB) January 27, 2015 -- Volition America, the half marathon and 5K movement benefiting Folds of Honor—the only non-profit organization providing educational scholarships and assistance to the spouses and children of those killed or disabled in service to America—today announced the addition of the Folds of Honor 1.3K Mission March to its nationwide series of events founded by Major Dan Rooney (ret.). Registration for the events is now open at VolitionAmerica.com.
The 1.3K Mission March, whose distance represents the 13 folds in the American flag presented to the families who have lost a loved one fighting for America’s freedom, features a registration fee of only $13. All proceeds from the event will go directly to assist Folds of Honor in continuing the education legacy of those who’ve given so much.
“Our goal is simple,” said Major Rooney. “We want to see 1,000,000 patriots joining us on the line walking, running, dancing or raising flags as they march one mile to celebrate freedom and raise scholarship funds for the children of killed and wounded servicemen.”
