Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Available at Firstmark Credit Union
San Antonio, Texas (PRWEB) February 12, 2015 -- Firstmark Credit Union will host VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) to provide help completing 2014 tax returns. The free tax preparation is available to anyone with an income not to exceed $60,000 for the 2014 tax year (individually or jointly).
“Firstmark Credit Union is pleased to host the VITA program; we are committed to helping families make the most of their money,” said Leon Ewing, President/CEO. “Access to a trained volunteer can make sure important tax credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit are claimed. These benefits can make a difference in supporting a family’s financial needs.”
“We are so happy to be partnering with Firstmark Credit Union,” said Sheila Anderson-Ruth, City of San Antonio, VITA Program Manager. “It is support from our community partners that help ensure we are able to reach and serve the people who need this help.”
The program will be offered at two Firstmark Credit Union branch locations on five dates. VITA volunteers will be at the Culebra and Southwest Military branch locations during business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Appointments are required and can be made online at firstmarkcu.org/VITA, in person at any of our 14 branches, or by calling our Member Contact Center at (210) 442-0100.
