During the interview Vuzix Director of Sales, Mike Hallett, said "Today there is a huge buzz about the wearable technology space. It is a growing market and we feel it is going to be a billion dollar market. We are going to be the leaders in this particular space".
Mr. Hallett added, "What they are is basically a display with an Andorid operating system camera on the front. Basically is kind of having your smart phone, hands free, in front of your eye. It allows you to do everything you do with your smart phone, it doesn't have 3g service, but it allows you to run applications. [These smart glasses] are hands free and have voice and gesture control. This particular product we are targeting for the industrial space. So we are running warehousing applications, medical applications, customer service applications. Say you go to Best Buy and you ask the customer service rep what the specs on the TV are. They wouldn't have to go to the computer to look it up."
