VYCON® Names New Vice President of Sales
Cerritos, California (PRWEB) August 28, 2017 -- VYCON®, a subsidiary of Calnetix Technologies, announces the appointment of Kamal Diwan as Vice President, Sales, effective Aug. 28.
Diwan will be responsible for business development and sales of VYCON’s line of flywheel energy storage systems in mission-critical applications worldwide and will focus on working with VYCON’s OEM channel partners, such as Eaton, General Electric, Mitsubishi, Schneider Electric and Vertiv in North America.
“Kamal brings to his new position at VYCON more than 10 years of experience in executive-level engineering and sales management in the North American data center marketplace,” said Frank DeLattre, president of VYCON. “His proven ability to build professional relationships and manage complex engineering systems for strategic accounts will play an important role in VYCON’s growth.”
Diwan comes to VYCON from DELL EMC, where he was involved in supporting the development of the company’s modular data center business. Prior to Dell, he was Director of Sales for Active Power. In that role, Diwan led Active Power’s direct and channel-based sales efforts in North America. He was also involved in all aspects of the business, including cost control, product development, positioning and business development. Other positions held at Active Power included Director of Global Business Development and Strategic Accounts, Director of Applications Engineering and Regional Sales Manager. Prior to Active Power, Diwan held engineering positions at L-3 Communications and Schlumberger. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas.
