Walker Announces its Annual Walker Wishes Holiday Toy Drive
Needham, MA (PRWEB) November 19, 2014 -- Walker transforms the lives of children and youth who are facing complex emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges. As a non-profit organization, they partner with children and youth, their families, and communities to nurture hope, build strengths, and develop lifelong skills.
The holidays are a magical time for children and the Walker Wishes Holiday Toy Drive is an opportunity for individuals and organizations that want to help make it even more special. This event enables Walker to continue with its goal to be a vibrant part of the community with the power to transform lives and to make a positive difference.
Four ways to get involved:
Donate a Toy/Organize a Toy Drive
Turn your company or community organization into a toy collection site by having employees or members donate new, unwrapped gifts or participate by dropping toys off at local drop-off bins. Local drop-off bin locations are always being added. For updated drop-off bin locations, click here.
Purchase Holiday Cards
By popular demand, Walker Wishes is bringing back this program. This year, individuals and corporations can showcase their commitment to social responsibility by purchasing holiday cards that benefit Walker programs. Choose from two different styles and messages, with the back of each card featuring information about Walker. Personalized cards are also available for orders of 250 or more.
Make a Tribute Gift
Honor an outstanding employee, valued client, or beloved relative with a gift to support the children, teens, and families Walker serves. Walker will send a handwritten holiday card to the person of your choosing informing them of the tribute. Gift amounts are never disclosed to honorees and the contribution is fully tax-deductible.
Volunteer
From toy sorting and pick-up to a volunteer wrapping event, there are many ways to spread holiday cheer. Visit the Walker Wishes Web site to learn more.
