Wamba Technologies Gives Dream Job to Lucky GCU Student
PHOENIX (PRWEB) May 23, 2018 -- Scottsdale’s Wamba Technologies is an up and coming eSports company featuring an impressive lineup of talent. Andy Ashcraft (God of War 2, God of War 3, Grand Turismo 4) and Brian Upton (Chief Designer for Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon, Tom Clancy: Rainbow Six) do design work for Wamba. Their Chief Security Officer, Joe Bagdon, formerly did cyber security for the Air Force, Fidelity, and Raleigh. Jody Whitfill, lead programmer for Wamba, a longtime medical programmer for BioTelemetry and investor into Wamba’s eSports platform brings decades of programming experience to the table. Jason Webb, Wamba’s patent attorney was involved in a patent which was sold to Apple for a purported $500M. All of this talent is just the tip of the iceberg with Wamba Technologies and, with all of this talent, Wamba has given a dream opportunity to green talent fresh out of Phoenix’s Grand Canyon University.

Sarah Vosburgh, a GCU graduate with a Bachelors of Arts in Digital Design with an emphasis in animation was one of the lucky few GCU students selected for Wamba’s prestigious Launch Program. When asked about the experience, she replied, “It’s been a fantastic learning experience and a perfect introduction to the game development industry and I couldn’t have asked for more. We began simultaneously redesigning an existing game called Waffle Smash as well as developing a brand new game which I cannot discuss publicly yet. It’s been a blast!”
“Sarah’s been a godsend,” said Gary Denham. “This program is amazing because these recent graduates get to work with people they never thought they’d get to work with right out of school. We aren’t talking about menial jobs either. They are an integral part of what we are doing and are just as valuable to the company as any of our super stars.”
