WarmlyYours Radiant Heating Releases Q4, 2014 Annual Report
LAKE ZURICH, Ill. (PRWEB) February 04, 2015 -- WarmlyYours Radiant Heating, which sells a diverse portfolio of indoor and outdoor radiant heating solutions, reported its highlights for the full year and fourth quarter of 2014.
The fourth quarter was the company’s highest-selling quarter of 2014. Gross sales increased 8.2 percent during the quarter in the United States and Canada. The fastest-growing product line during the quarter was the Other Products category, which consists of items like mirror defoggers, countertop heaters and third-party integration kits. This segment increased 705.2 percent during the fourth quarter due to the success of mirror defoggers in both the United States and Canada.
However, the trend toward outdoor heating continued in the fourth quarter, with the snow-melting, deicing and slab-heating category showing significant growth of 139.1 percent compared with the prior-year period. This growth was mainly driven by sales of WarmlyYours roof and gutter deicing systems, which increased 1,207.5 percent during the quarter. WarmlyYours snow-melting systems also performed well with a 96.4 percent increase, and slab-heating systems grew 70.9 percent during the timeframe.
Growing demand for snow-melting, deicing and slab-heating systems also was apparent in WarmlyYours’ 2014 annual sales. With a 96.2 percent increase in consolidated gross sales compared with 2013, this was the fastest-growing category of 2014. The Other Product category was the next fastest-growing category with a 50.6 percent increase in sales last year. Like the fourth-quarter results, this category was led by mirror defogger sales.
For the full year, WarmlyYours’ consolidated gross sales grew 5.5 percent, which outpaces the growth of both the housing and remodeling markets. According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), total home sales fell 3.1 percent in 2014. Remodeling activity, however, grew an average of 4.8 percent last year, according to the Leading Indicator of Remodeling Activity (LIRA). In 2015, industry authorities expect these markets to experience positive growth. As a result, WarmlyYours predicts that in-floor heating sales will rise.
WarmlyYours also expects to see outdoor heating applications, like snow-melting and deicing systems, continue their growth streak as homeowners get more proactive about preparing for winter.
“Last year, we predicted that the unusually heavy snowfall and extreme cold of the winter of 2013/2014 would create an increase in demand for our snow-melting and roof deicing systems,” said President and Owner Julia Billen. “That has proven to be true, as these product lines experienced nearly triple-digit growth in 2014. We expect to continue that growth in 2015.”
