Warren County CVB Announces Bonnybrook Farms Pumpkin Chuckin' Festival
(PRWEB) October 23, 2013 -- Join in the spectacle of pumpkins flying through the air from giant slingshots at the third annual Bonnybrook Farms Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival.
“This is the third year for the Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival, and we’ve had so much fun with it,” said Bonnie Mercuri, owner of Bonnybrook Farms. “The first year, we did it just because we had a bunch of leftover pumpkins, and we thought it would be something fun for families to do. Here we are three years later, and our visitors just love it.”
The Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival runs from noon-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, October 26 and 27. Activities include an adventure hayride, a corn maze, clodhopper golf, Horseshoe Hill’s tunnel and 80-foot underground slide, pick-your-own-pumpkin patch, hand-led pony rides, and of course, “pumpkin chuckin’” on the giant slingshot.
Before the festival begins on Saturday, Bonnybrook Farms is hosting The Great Pumpkin Run. Runners can choose a 5k or 10k course. The race begins at 10 a.m. After the festival, guests can stay for a Lantern Light Wagon ride, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
