Warren Has Created an Online Platform That Revolutionizes Story Sharing

That’s the basic concept of Share More Stories, Inc., a company run by James Warren of Richmond, Va. Warren and his team have developed a website, http://www.sharemorestories.com, which enables people from all over to the world to post and share their personal stories with others.
“Share More Stories is a brand new platform that seeks to revolutionize the way storytellers and story seekers create, share and discover great stories,” explained Warren. “Our vision is to improve human self-expression and connection through story.”
The project is inspired by the words of the late Maya Angelou, a noted American author, poet, civil rights activist, poet and performer, who recited one of her poems at President Bill Clinton's 1993 inauguration. “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you,” Angelou once wrote.
“We imagined a place where fewer and fewer people suffer from these untold stories, and the rest of the world rejoices with them upon hearing and sharing what these storytellers have to say,” Warren said.
With the advent of the Internet and social media, a multitude of new outlets now exist for this type of expression and sharing. Warren calls it “socially connected story sharing” and believes it will enable people to find “deeper meaning in their lives and a greater sense of connection to others.”
At the present time, http://www.sharemorestories.com is able to share a limited number of stories. Warren is looking to upgrade the site with an enhanced user interface, collaborative writing features, improved copyright management and better access to social media promotion.
“We want to make it really easy for people to create and discover stories,” he said.

Donations of any amount are welcome. For $25, backers will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card and the opportunity to feature a story on sharemorestories.com and promote it on their social media. A $100 contribution is rewarded with a Share More Stories tote bag and a story promotion opportunity.
For $250, you’ll receive a tote bag, story promotion opportunity and a 30-minute session with a storytelling expert to help get started (or refine a story).
