Washington, DC Area Musicians to Perform Hit Songs from Guardians of the Galaxy as Sequel Opens in Theaters
Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 20, 2017 -- The Adam Levowitz Orchestra is returning to The Howard Theatre on May 7 with all the songs from Peter Quill's Awesome Mix Vol. 1 and a few from Vol. 2! Electric guitars, drums and the hottest horn section in town will pull you out of your seat and have you dancing.
This is the perfect show for moviegoers who have just seen Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in theaters and want to hear live music from the film, fans of the first film or music lovers in general.
This 90-minute set is the newest offering from the Adam Levowitz Orchestra and showcases four dynamic singers backed by an 11-piece jazz orchestra and some of the east coast’s finest musicians.
Adam Levowitz, the orchestra’s music director and keyboard player, has written 20 brand new arrangements that celebrate the artists and songs from the original soundtrack, including “Hooked On A Feeling” by Blue Suede, “Moonage Daydream” by David Bowie, “I Want You Back” by the Jackson 5, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell and more!
Levowitz is very passionate about bringing this music to life on a stage. “These songs are classics,” he says, “and so easily recognizable. They need to be heard. They need to be the central focus and not background music while working out, or driving in your car. But in a concert hall where the music is the focus. We want you to have a great time – sing along, dance along and enjoy the music.”
Tickets for the show are $15 in advance. General admission seating is available on a first come, first serve basis and there is a $10 drink minimum at the theater. A full brunch menu is available for this show.
