Washington State School Nurses Get New Health Technology with CareDox
Spokane, WA (PRWEB) June 17, 2016 -- The new school year looks bright for students of Spokane Public Schools. The district covering seven high schools, six middle schools, and 34 elementary schools has joined CareDox, a comprehensive digital health platform, to manage their student’s medical records across the county starting this fall. The partnership increases the total number of Washington state students served by CareDox to more than 40,000. CareDox is already actively used in Mead County Public Schools nearby.
CareDox’s electronic medical record platform enables school nurses, administrative staff and parents to store, update and share student’s medical records without any of the limitations that come with keeping physical copies. In an emergency, having accurate medical records and the ability to share medical information can save the life of a student. The technology also assists in the delivery of education for preventive care such as vaccinations and health screenings.
