Water Taxi Wows with Successful Grand Opening at New Bokampers Stop
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- The Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi proudly introduced the newest and northernmost stop of its Intracoastal Waterway route at Bokampers Sports Bar & Grill yesterday, June 29, with a successful launch and ribbon cutting event.
Crowds gathered on the dock outside Bokampers as a Water Taxi pulled up in a grand entrance, decorated in the company’s yellow and green, as well as Miami Dolphins-colored balloons. Former Dolphins player and Bokampers owner Kim Bokamper and Water Taxi owners Bill Walker and Mike McGurl then participated in a ceremonial ribbon cutting and gave brief remarks and presentations about the benefits of the partnership.
Other local dignitaries, including several members of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Chamber of Commerce, were also in attendance.
Following the ceremony, the group retired inside where hor d’oeuvres and beverages were provided and the owners socialized with attendees. Many other guests began lining up to board the Water Taxi’s inaugural voyage from its newest stop.
“We would like to thank everyone who came out to celebrate the launch of this exciting new endeavor,” said Kim Bokamper. “It’s great to have such incredible support from our local community, and we look forward to working with Water Taxi to provide our customers this valuable service for years to come.”

The celebration continued throughout the day with $5 off Water Taxi tickets purchased onboard at the new Bokampers stop, as well as Bokampers food and drink specials.
