Waukesha-Pearce Industries (WPI) Becomes Distributor for GE Transportation
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) May 14, 2014 -- Waukesha-Pearce Industries (WPI) has been named a U.S.-based distributor for GE Transportation, a division of General Electric Company (GE) and a global technology leader and supplier to the railroad, mining, marine, stationary power, and drilling industries. Already an approved GE partner, WPI will collaborate with GE Transportation’s Stationary Power division, selling and packaging V250 and V228 diesel engines.

The new GE V250 engine series provides customers with increased reliability, fuel efficiency and compliance with United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emissions standards. GE’s four-stroke, turbocharged and after-cooled medium-speed diesel V228 engines are designed for the most demanding applications.
All GE diesels feature high-capacity turbochargers, efficient combustion systems and EFI systems, and are integrated into GE marine and stationary systems to offer superior fuel and lube oil efficiency while meeting strict emissions levels.

GE Transportation’s diesel family of medium-speed engines includes 8-, 12- and 16-cylinder V configurations ranging between 1,400 to 5,682 horsepower for industrial applications.
