Wavecrest Computing Releases Cyfin Syslog Server
Melbourne, FL (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- Wavecrest Computing has released Cyfin Syslog Server. This feature will remove any need for a third-party syslog server product for Cyfin reporting. Implementing Cyfin Syslog Server provides an affordable way to save on cost as well as hours of IT administrative time, streamlining the setup process of transferring data from syslog devices and simplifying the administration of this data. There is no limit to the number of configured syslog log file configurations, and each syslog server can be set to receive syslog data from different firewalls, proxies, and gateway devices simultaneously. Cyfin will then aggregate the data across all the configured syslog devices and generate a single report that contains all the information in an easy-to-read, actionable format. Syslog Server is included in Cyfin versions 9.1.0 and later, and supports many gateway devices and firewalls, such as Barracuda, FortiGate, Palo Alto, SonicWALL, WatchGuard, Check Point, and more.
“Cyfin Syslog Server is another way that we are streamlining our customers’ ability to efficiently administer their Web security while reducing OPEX and CAPEX. We strive to improve our products continuously. While competitors produce add-ons at additional costs, our priority is a product that achieves the entire task it is meant to fulfill in detail, increases enterprise efficiency, and improves the customer experience,” said Dennis McCabe, Wavecrest Computing CEO.
Cyfin is a highly effective Web-use log file analyzer and reporting solution that supports a wide variety of gateway devices and log file formats. Comprehensive yet easy to use, its highly accurate and actionable reports range from extremely detailed individual user audits to high-level, multi-aspect, manager-ready summaries.
