Way of Joy Expert Vicki Dello Joio to Lead ‘Nourish the Flame’ Live Event in Oakland to Make New Year’s Resolutions Real
Oakland, CA (PRWEB) December 21, 2013 -- Everyone wants a New Year full of health, wealth, love, skinny jeans and a perfect mate. Getting the life energy flowing in the right direction to welcome those outcomes is the flag Way of Joy Expert and Qigong Master Teacher Vicki Dello Joio is waving at her ‘Nourish the Flame’ live event taking place December 29, 2013 from 11 AM – 4 PM in Piedmont Community Hall at 711 Highland Avenue in service to hundreds of spirit-led people who are serious about taking inspired action to make their bold intentions real in the New Year.
“Let’s face it. Ninety-two percent of people abandon their New Year’s resolutions within the first 30 days of the New Year. If we could align our life force with the real reason we want the change, there would be a lot more happy, slim, evolved, and powerful people on the planet sharing joy with the ones they love,” Dello Joio quips.
She offers these three tips to shift perspectives for lasting and profound results.
1. Don’t Over-think It. New Year's resolutions fail because so much of the time, people make resolutions in their heads — ones that don't resonate in their bodies. Time to ditch that old paradigm illusion of ‘Mind over Matter.’
2. Get Physical. “Bruce Lee once said, ‘Don't think, feel’ and he was right, Dello Joio asserts. “Whatever the changes — whether in business, health, personal relationships or creative life — people need to feel it to see it. In other words, the secret to making resolutions that stick is to actually seed them in the body, not just in the mind. It is only through the embodiment of thoughts, that one becomes the vehicle to make them happen in ‘real time.’ When body, thoughts, feelings and behavior are aligned, energy becomes open, expansive, and assertive. People don’t fight themselves anymore and become unstoppable”.
3. Have some Fun. According to an article in the Huffington Post, people often don’t actually LIKE the resolutions they make. Losing weight, having more discipline, going to the gym implies a kind of stern rigor that, for a lot of people, is not a lot of fun. Dello Joio recommends that people take a moment to be sure their resolutions feel good as well as sound good. “Then take them for a walk, to yoga class or the gym, or dance them out with some favorite music blaring. Or include them when you make love. Or practice qigong. Just put them in your body. It never lies. If someone’s not ‘all in,’ then chances are they probably won't go ‘all out’ and their resolutions become dead in the water.”
