TheClassicalStation.org Salutes Composers and Music of an Important Era

TheClassicalStation.org announces today a “Back to Baroque” Weekend, April 22, 23, 2017. Music Director William Woltz programs a weekend which highlights the language of music that came to be defined as the music we know today.

“From sunny Venetian concertos by Vivaldi to searching devotional works by Bach, the Baroque era presents a rich and varied musical landscape,” offers Woltz. “We’ll play Handel and Telemann, Albinoni, Domenico Scarlatti, Purcell and Buxtehude—Baroque favorites plus some pieces you may not have heard before.”
