Webasto to Showcase Cooling and Heating Solutions at MinEXPO 2016
Fenton, MI. (PRWEB) September 21, 2016 -- Webasto, the global leader in equipment and vehicle cooling and heating solutions strives to continuously bring innovative comfort solutions to the industry. Webasto products provide fuel and time saving solutions to machines as original equipment or as an aftermarket option.
Engine-Off Cooling Solutions
Webasto’s new Polar Cab Series of engine-off cooling solutions is an ideal new product line for mining, construction and agriculture equipment. Machinery and operators are expected to work under the harshest conditions. This expectation is met with an innovative solution for on-demand, engine-off cabin cooling. Operators can turn off engines to reduce emissions and costs while remaining cool and comfortable during wait/load times. The Polar Cab Series by Webasto is a customized approach to cabin cooling.
The Polar Cab ES battery-driven electric a/c offers a cooling capacity up to 7,000 BTU/h while maintaining low power consumption and includes a compact 24V variable-speed electric compressor. A customizable evaporator option is available to machine operators. Choose between a universal overhead evaporator (Oakland), or a universal vertical floor mounted evaporator (Osaka) both options come complete with a compressor/condenser.
The Polar Cab TS engine-off cabin cooling system features an exclusive thermal storage technology. Inside the storage core is a series of aluminum micro-channels, which route liquid refrigerant around a graphite substrate that is infused with water. This substrate is capable of storing cold energy at an extremely high efficiency. Cold energy is transferred to the cab for on-demand engine-off cooling. This technology allows operators to turn off their engine and maintain cool cabin temperatures.
Webasto Coolant Heaters
Webasto heaters are designed to perform under the most demanding industry conditions. Webasto heating systems are engineered to pre-heat engines, warm fluids, and keep pay loads valuable.
The Thermo Pro 50 is known for its compact, lightweight design and versatile size. It features high altitude operation 7,200 feet (2200m), Arctic Start function which provides quick engine pre-heat even in extremely cold conditions, exhaust temperature control, and 17,000 BTU/h of heating power.
The Thermo Pro 90 has been specially designed for use in heavy duty machinery and commercial vehicles. Similar to the Thermo Pro 50 it features Arctic Start, exhaust temperature control, automatic altitude adjustment up to 11,000 feet (3,350m) and 31,000 BTU/h of heating power. Webasto’s full line of heaters ensure operators are comfortable, safe and more productive.
