Webinar Series to Tackle Financial Aid Questions for 2016
Seal Beach, CA (PRWEB) January 09, 2016 -- As if applying to college isn’t already difficult enough, major changes are slated in 2016 for the financial aid process. To guide parents and students through these changes Jodi Okun, founder and president of College Financial Aid Advisors (CFAA), will present a series of informative online webinars.
The Jodi Okun Financial Aid Webinar Series premieres on January 12, 2016, with instruction on “How to Complete the FAFSA.” This application can impact the amount of financial aid a student receives from federal, state and institutional sources. During the webinar, Okun will explode the FAFSA myths, uncover the mysteries behind the FAFSA, provide pointers on how to avoid errors, and provide insights that will make the process as pain-free as possible. She will also share an advance look at what is new for 2016.
The second webinar is scheduled for March 15, 2016. Entitled “The Financial Aid Process,” its purpose is to teach participants how to turn the financial aid maze into a straight path to increased understanding, reduced stress, and less financial pressure. On April 12, 2016, a third webinar, “How to Apply to Financial Aid and Scholarships,” will answer the question of whether there is still free money available to help pay for college, and divulge the secrets of securing financial support for college students. The final seminar, which is scheduled for May 17, 2016, will cover the topic of “Financial Aid – Ready Set Go!” Okun advises that there are big changes ahead for the FAFSA and financial aid in 2016, and plans to help parents and college-bound students get ready with this timely information session. All webinars are free of charge, start at 4:00 p.m. Pacific/7:00 p.m. Eastern and last about one hour. Registration is now open through http://www.collegefinancialaidadvisors.com/webinars, or look for updates at #CollegeCash.
“I believe that the time investment is well worth it to understand a topic that has such a major impact on the financial future for so many families,” commented Okun. “I will share my insights as a professional college financial aid advisor, answer questions, and take attendees step-by-step through the process of finding money to help pay for their student’s college education.
