WebM plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro CC available from Fnord Software
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 14, 2015 -- Fnord Software (http://www.fnordware.com) has announced the release of a free plug-in for Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC supporting Google’s WebM video format. Adobe Premiere Pro CC is part of Adobe Creative Cloud®, which includes the software, tools, apps, and services that creative professionals need. Available for download from the Fnord website, the WebM plug-in also provides WebM support in other Adobe Creative Cloud applications, such as Adobe Media Encoder.
WebM is a free and open video format for the web, developed by Google and contributors working around the globe. The WebM Project distributes free, highly-optimized software libraries to provide easy-to-integrate tools for developers. The Fnord plug-in leverages these libraries and is also open sourced for the community, hosted on GitHub under the permissive BSD license.

The Chrome, Firefox, and Opera web browsers have had native WebM support for years. The WebM plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro CC includes Google’s new VP9 codec, a free and open next-generation video technology.

Having a plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro CC means that editors will no longer have to export to intermediate file formats and learn complex command line syntax to encode WebM.
