Website for Entrepreneurs and Startups Launches Interactive Graph for Poll Results

The new functionality allows users to see demographics of survey responders such as gender, age, entrepreneurial status and education level when viewing a graph.
Initially poll results were shown in a simple graph that only showed the number of votes and each trend. Opineer’s co-founder Sean Kim says the new information will enable users to analyze poll results according to their interests or concerns. “Our team spent extra effort in revolutionizing our innovative polling mechanism once more. Our new interactive graph will allow our users to transform the poll results according to their interested variables. This interactive graph will enable our users to make further analysis of our poll results,” says Kim.
In addition, Kim says the interactive graph will give startups the information they need to forecast trends and predict market demand. He gives the example of a poll asking, “What do you think about X product?” with the voting options, “like” and “dislike.” While a simple graph would show how many people voted “like” and “dislike”, the new feature will enable users to click on a button labeled “gender” to reveal how males voted versus females.
Three Carnegie Mellon University alumni developed the idea for Opineer in 2012 to provide a space for members of the business community to share ideas, gather feedback, and find solutions. Opineer’s unique interface allows entrepreneurs to share their experiences and even pose questions regarding start-ups by creating poll-based posts. Users are also able to interact and engage in in-depth conversations with other entrepreneurs through an intuitive commenting system.
