Twenty-five years ago Jeff Nicholson arrived in Stowe, Vermont driving his car with its rear bumper peppered with stickers. He had left his marketing position for a chain of ski stores in Boston. He, and his now wife Karen, who had worked in sales for a decal and fleet graphics company in Boston, came to Stowe to ski and start a business. They combined her decal connections and sales experience with his marketing knowledge and in the spring of 1990, the company was born. Five years later, Christine DeRienzo joined the company to manage business operations.
