WellCare Opens Welcome Room in Syracuse, NY

(NYSE: WCG), a leading provider of managed care services for government-sponsored health care programs, recently celebrated the grand opening of its Syracuse, N.Y., Welcome Room serving Onondaga County. WellCare’s Welcome Rooms are neighborhood health care information, education and sales centers that are open to the public and staffed by WellCare associates who can answer questions about Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Long Term Care health plans.
At the event, WellCare hosted local leaders including Van Robinson, president, Syracuse City Council; Carl Thomas, economic development specialist representing Mayor Stephanie Miner; and Lindsay Bednarczyk, constituent service representative for state Sen. John DeFrancisco (R – Syracuse).

At the grand opening, WellCare presented a $2,000 donation to the Rescue Mission, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger and homelessness in Auburn, Binghamton, Ithaca and Syracuse.
