wePresent Announces New Bluetooth Accessory For Faster Connection and Easier Wireless Presentation

The wireless presentation company has announced release of a new peripheral to the wePresent platform: PresentSense, the proximity-based Bluetooth gateway that allows you to connect to nearby wePresent units even quicker.
PresentSense uses a Bluetooth dongle in compatible wePresent units in conjunction with the native Bluetooth apparatus present in many computers and mobile devices. wePresent presentation gateways equipped with PresentSense will automatically detect nearby Bluetooth-enabled presentation devices, allowing the software to take a “fast track” toward connecting to the closest receiver. This will effectively eliminate guesswork on networks where many wePresent units are connected.
Coupled with the SharePod, the PresentSense allows wePresent an even higher level of user-friendliness, especially in regard to guest presenters. A Bluetooth-enabled device can now effectively be connected far quicker than navigating the network. Not only does the PresentSense make guest-presenting easy, it’s also great for buildings with many conference rooms or classrooms, where the preferred wePresent receiver is listed in a drop-down menu of all connected wePresent systems.

PresentSense is projected to ship in Q3 of this year with a retail price of $19.99 USD, the next in a string of noteworthy releases by wePresent. Aside from the SharePod, the company also released the WiPG-1600 earlier this year, which is designed to integrate into the new, high-tech education environment. Also debuting in 2016 was the platform’s ability to mirror Chromebook via a native application, making wePresent one of the first to support this quickly growing platform.
wePresent will be showing the PresentSense, the SharePod, the WiPG-1600 and the WiPG-2000 at this year’s InfoComm in Las Vegas, NV, from June 8th – 10th, as well as hosting a talk on BYOD and the future of wireless at the same trade show.
