It's no secret that We Insure has been expanding at a rapid rate in Florida and Georgia throughout the past 5 years. Even after such a short period of time in the industry, their presence is evident – with almost 300 associates, 70+ locations, and countless awards and achievements. They've made it known that this success stems from building and maintaining relationships – with their Carrier Partners, their insureds, and of course – their Agency Owners.
Q: How did you find out about We Insure – and how long did it take you to make the decision to partner with the company?
When I decided to open up my own agency, I initially thought of opening a State Farm office. I had months before my grand opening to work for a local State Farm agent to become more acquainted with their products and systems. I quickly discovered was I was telling more people they didn't qualify or that the price was not competitive (particularly in HO policies) than yes while not having alternatives to offer. This opened my eye to exploring independent agencies. My brother who works directly with a insurance company and familiar with We Insure suggested I check them out. I dropped into the closest office near me that turned out to be territory manager, Gary Hallock's office. We had similar backgrounds and he did a very credible job of summing up the independent landscape and the advantages of We Insure. I did more research and when I visited the home office and meet Phil and the executive staff, I knew I found the right place for me.
Q: What do you think will be some of the advantages of being a We Insure agency owner as opposed to an independent agency owner?
In theory all independent agencies have unlimited choices to offer their clients. The reality is, it is hard to get appointment many companies in the first place, then you lose objectively because you must then place a certain amount of business with each carrier to maintain them. We Insure allows me to impartially shop the widest number of companies and I am not obligated to do any business with them to keep them as an option. Once the sale is made, I can rely on the home office service professionals to take care of my clients rather than me having to staff for that or split duties. We can focus on exceptional sales and follow up.
Q: What excites you most about being a part of “Team WE”?
I really appreciate the positive and caring attitudes I have experienced so far and look forward to celebrating successes with nice people. I feel like We Insure has laid the foundation for me to really hit the ground running and grow as big as I want to be with the support to keep a healthy work life balance.
Q: Where do you see your agency, and We Insure as a whole, within the next few years?
I foresee 5-6 team members that are excited to grow their business within my business by taking care of their clients and while being involved in the community. I look forward to going on vacation in Florida and elsewhere and passing by many more We Insure offices and feel like I could stop in any of them and feel welcomed.
