(PRWEB) July 06, 2015 -- Anyone is at risk of falling into the timeshare trap, and many don’t realize they have fallen prey to a scam until it is too late – which begs the question: How do consumers get out of these contracts once they realize they’ve been duped? Wesley Financial Group CEO Chuck McDowell explains the steps consumers can take to terminate a timeshare contract.

McDowell explained that sending the cancellation request via certified mail is crucial. Timeshare companies can claim the request was never received if it was not sent via certified mail. By the time the consumer is notified of this, the rescission period has likely ended, severely limiting the ability to terminate the contract.
