Wesley Homes Receives LeadingAge Washington 2016 Excellence in Sales and Marketing Awards
Des Moines, WA (PRWEB) June 18, 2016 -- Wesley Homes Retirement Communities and Home Health Services received four awards at LeadingAge™ Washington's Awards of Excellence presentation. The awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions in the fields of aging, healthcare, housing and community-based services.
Director of Activities and Volunteer Services Naniofa Poulivaati-Mounga received the Excellence in the Workplace Award, which acknowledged the vision and creativity that made her a leader in care and services for the elderly in 2015. Her virtual travel program, United Nations of the Health Center, took Wesley Homes Des Moines Health Center residents around the world, and her International Bite of Wesley Homes showcased the variety of cultures and cuisines of the staff.
“I didn’t know that creating this travel program would be so exciting or that it would go over as well as it has,” said Poulivaati-Mounga, “but it’s a blessing to be able to share ourselves with the residents and to be able to empower them and our staff to participate.”
The other marketing categories for which Wesley Homes’ Marketing team — Christine Tremain, Rachel Kirkman and Hilary Gray — received recognition for unique strategies that utilized tactical and creative thinking with measurable results are:
• Gold Award for Digital Marketing for eWesley, the monthly online newsletter that averages a 40 percent open rate. Social media, website and use of Google AdWords, Google Grants and videos were also considerations.
• Silver Award for Event Marketing – Social Accountability/Community Outreach for Wesley Homes’ film screening of “Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me.” The outreach campaign utilized print and digital marketing, broadcast media and direct mail to help raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease. Promotion also included producer and guest speaker Trevor Albert.
• Silver Award for Website, which was optimized for mobile devices and incorporated a contemporary design that is easier to read and navigate. Unique visitors increased by 19 percent.
Awards were presented at the LeadingAge Washington 65th Annual Conference “Be the Difference” in Spokane at the Davenport Hotel.
