West Point Underwriters to Use conceptClassifier for SharePoint to Manage Metadata
McLean, VA, US and Stevenage, UK (PRWEB) April 21, 2015 -- Concept Searching, the global leader in semantic metadata generation, auto-classification, and taxonomy management software, and developer of the Smart Content Framework™, is pleased to welcome West Point Underwriters as a new client. West Point Underwriters offers a combination of web-based software solutions and experienced personnel to help grow organizations’ businesses, whether outsourcing backend processing or investing in latest technology. The company provides the expertise and personal services needed to run a successful insurance company, and has developed specific web technologies designed to help insurance professionals reduce unnecessary expenses and increase efficiency in the insurance selling process.
West Point Underwriters selected conceptClassifier for SharePoint and conceptTaxonomyWorkflow to develop an enterprise metadata framework to improve search and address governance requirements. The products will be deployed on its SharePoint 2010/2013 farm, using conceptClassifier for SharePoint conceptual metadata generation, auto-classification, and taxonomy management tools. Designed for Subject Matter Experts, the taxonomy component affords West Point Underwriters an easy-to-use set of tools to develop an enterprise metadata framework. This will immediately improve search results, as the conceptual and semantic metadata will be used by the search engine index to retrieve highly accurate and relevant information. It is also integrated with the SharePoint Term Store and works bi-directionally and simultaneously.
The project is to develop an extranet, enabling agents and brokers to search for relevant content through West Point Underwriters’ SharePoint portal in a secure manner. Concept Searching products respect existing security and proactively identify and protect confidential information as content is created or ingested, reducing organizational risk. conceptTaxonomyWorkflow enables authorized personnel to independently manage information access, information and rights management, and records management policy application within respective business units and functional areas, without the need for IT support or access to enterprise-wide servers. By effectively and accurately applying policy across applications and content repositories, Concept Searching’s technology will enable West Point Underwriters to significantly improve its compliance and information governance initiatives. This will be of value internally as well as externally, giving the company full control of its content assets, and the ability to develop organizational policies and processes at a granular or enterprise level.
“West Point Underwriters provides services using the latest and most sophisticated software to address client needs. By selecting our products, it will be able to manage content as it is created or ingested. Our technology is still unique in the industry and has not been replicated. Our development approach was designed to address multiple organizational challenges, thereby providing value to clients. West Point Underwriters will have the ability to solve all information governance challenges surrounding unstructured and semi-structured content,” said Martin Garland, President of Concept Searching. “We are delighted to welcome West Point Underwriters, and admire the company’s ability to understand the challenges of metadata and to recognize the capabilities of our technologies to support its long range objectives.”
