West Rebrands and Expands Scope of its Education Ecosystem Program
SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (PRWEB) September 14, 2016 -- West Corporation, a leading provider of communication services, today announced the expansion of the partnership program tied to its popular SchoolMessenger solutions, rebranded as the “West Education Ecosystem.”
Originally known as the SchoolMessenger Ecosystem Program, the partnership initiative was launched last fall with the release of SchoolMessenger Passport, the single sign-on and roster data account provisioning product for school districts. In the year since its launch, the program has added a wide variety of complementary partners representing different areas of education technology including Lightspeed Systems, Promethean’s ClassFlow, Skoolbo, and ActivityHero.
The interest in the program has also led to its expansion beyond Passport to include other SchoolMessenger family products, such as SchoolMessenger Presence (website/CMS), based on school district preferences and needs.
“The newly rebranded West Education Ecosystem reflects the expanded scope of partnership opportunities,” said Carmi Paris, vice president of business development. “We continue to evolve the program to help both schools and partners simplify the discovery and use of interesting and effective edtech products.”
The newest partners in the West Education Ecosystem represent the breadth of edtech companies providing services to school districts today:
• Lightspeed Systems has built its reputation creating smart solutions for K-12 school networks since 1999. Its award-winning web filtering, mobile device management and classroom management products are used in 5,500 school districts in the United States and 25,000 schools globally.
• Promethean’s ClassFlow is free, collaborative teaching and learning software that helps teachers deliver dynamic lessons. ClassFlow integrates free and premium curriculum content with an engaging lesson delivery application that works with most student devices. ClassFlow allows teachers to share lesson content with students in real-time and extend learning beyond the classroom.
• Skoolbo is a CODiE award-winning, game-based literacy and numeracy program supported by an adaptive algorithm designed to give every child an optimal curriculum by blending new content, not-yet-mastered content, and revised content. Teachers can customize the program, and data-driven reports detail student progress for students, parents, teachers and schools.
• ActivityHero makes it easy for parents to register their kids for after-school activities and summer camps with thousands of listings all over the U.S. featuring photos, descriptions, schedules and reviews. Parents can filter by age, location, and date, then register and pay online, while schools can provide easy registration options for their programs and events.
Education companies can learn more about more about the expanded Ecosystem program at the upcoming EdNET conference in Dallas, September 25-27, 2016. To be considered as a partner, companies can apply at http://www.schoolmessenger.com/partners.
