Grand Prairie United Charities (GPUC) was founded over 50 years ago to provide immediate emergency assistance to residents experiencing financial setbacks. Believing that prompt intervention can ward off a potentially dire crisis, GPUC strives to prevent situations which may result in families living without shelter, food or utilities. Their relief services range from an on-site food pantry, rent/mortgage/shelter assistance, utility assistance, prescription/medication assistance, as well as information and referral guidance. They even stock a small supply of personal hygiene items for those in need.
