Weybridge Will Soon Be the First Town of Its Kind in the UK (Possibly the World) Claim BrandStreet
Weybridge, Surrey (PRWEB UK) 27 July 2015 -- Weybridge is already a town of note as many celebrities call it home but now it’s about to be put firmly on the map as the most connected shopping town in the UK and possibly the world.
After three years in development, BrandStreet is almost ready to launch and its first steps to creating this new world begin in the town of Weybridge.
Why Weybridge?
Weybridge has been chosen as the pilot town for this game changing, life altering, and commerce enhancing APP that uses the latest in proximity marketing to bring whole High Streets alongside communities together. Already scores of local businesses have signed up for free, claiming their store front on the virtual BrandStreet allowing them to benefit from real time beacon marketing.
What Is BrandStreet?
BrandStreet is primarily an APP for Weybridge, to make everyday lives more interesting, more convenient and better connected. Users gain access to their own virtual High Street on which they add local Weybridge businesses to create their personalised shopping experience. It doesn’t stop there.
When walking down the Weybridge High Street in real time, the businesses the user has added will send notifications to tempt their customers into the store, direct to the palm of a user’s hands. These notifications will include content from product offers, videos, information or special events, all up to the minute and directly on trend.
When not in the High Street the APP is still indispensable for Weybridge residents as it highlights the best entertainment daily within the local vicinity. Users can also visit the business’s websites from home or shop for products on a national level from brands such as Phase 8 and Marks and Spencer’s.
The Weybridge Businesses
BrandStreet has been busy setting up local businesses with the beacon technology needed to facilitate this for free. At absolutely no cost to these businesses, BrandStreet has created their pages and their notifications along with installing their very own beacon.
Soon, Weybridge residents won’t be able to avoid BrandStreet as they are carving out quite the presence on the High Street. Along with billboard advertising, there will also be an obvious display in the shop windows of Weybridge.
Kevin Robinson, the founder of BrandStreet has waited years for this event, he explains why he chose Weybridge as the lucky town to pilot the high tech shopping technology, “I live and work in Weybridge and so it made sense to choose a town on my doorstep but not only that. I feel Weybridge has a rough press compared to neighbouring towns in terms of shopping enjoyment and I knew our plans could change all that. By making Weybridge the first connected High Street in the UK I’m hoping to make Weybridge residents and businesses even more proud of their home town, just as we deserve to be as it is a fantastic place to live.”
All we need now is a launch date, and that date is coming soon. If you are a local news outlet, publishing this release could mean you are the first to know of the launch.
