Wharfedale Announces Migration Service for SAP HANA® to Public Cloud

(WFT Cloud) announces a new service offering which enables customers to upgrade and migrate their systems running SAP® software such as SAP Business Warehouse and SAP ERP to SAP HANA®, while migrating these landscapes to public cloud.
Wharfedale introduces the migration service for SAP HANA, a market-leading in-memory data and application development platform, for customers who wish to migrate their existing SAP systems to public cloud with minimal downtime. Customers can potentially experience up to 70% improvement in response time and 50% reduction of database size.
This service offering includes the following:
- Analyzing customer’s cloud infrastructure needs, SAP software and data upgrade requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Upgrading existing systems running SAP software to the required patch level or provide in-place OS/DB upgrade of the systems before migrating to SAP HANA
- Implementing and migrating the systems from any source database to SAP HANA.
- Executing the SAP HANA upgrade and cloud migration with minimal downtime using SAP HANA data migration option (DMO)
- Implementing system replication options for disaster recovery.
By migrating to SAP HANA, customers can achieve highly accelerated data loading, query runtimes and planning functions and at the same time benefit from reduced layers and simplified data modeling and remodeling. WFT has extensive experience in deploying SAP HANA high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using SAP HANA system replication, which is one of the few options supported in public clouds.
