Mobile, AL (PRWEB) July 22, 2014 -- According to the KSF (Kung Fu Sanda Federation), this year's summer KSF sanctioned US Open Challenge successfully “kicked” into action on this past June 14, 2014 at the Mobile Civic Center in Mobile, Alabama with a myriad of Kung fu fighting competitions. KSF promised to have more actions on the night of November 8th, 2014, searching for K. Superstar at Mobile Civic Center.
Excited audience members and sponsors at the US Open June event are anxiously waiting for the next US Open Challenge, searching for K. Superstar. Sanda seemed to be alive again in the US. Many of the sponsors for the US Open Challenge in June expressed that they were so proud to be at such an exciting event.
Many sponsors were so thrilled to have participated in post event parties, taking autograph and photo-time with fighters, such as Advanced transmission in Spanish Fort, Rick's Gun and Pawn Shop in Foley, and World Financial Group in Daphne, AL, just name a few.
The US Open Challenge warmed up in the morning with highly technical Kung fu fighting forms, which included precision weapons competitions and captivating high flying Kung Fu jump kick competitions. Also included in the day event was a very well synchronized Tai Chi team competition, and the audience really responded with great excitement during the kung fu fitness competitions with robust cheering for various competitors.
From there, the Kung fu fighting action ramped up to another level of electrifying Kung fu Sanda fighting competitions in the evening. The outstanding performers who captured the most attention during the morning audience are Cassie Sterling from Duluth, GA, Ernest Philon from Mobile Alabama, and Scott Ruff and his young son, Sakiel, from New Orleans.
Competitors in this event traveled to the city of Mobile from as far as Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida and even Tennessee for a chance to be the next K. Superstar Champion.
The “Main Event” of Kung Fu Sanda competitions bolstered seven high impact matches, one of which was surprisingly classified as an exhibition teaser match where a young Ms. Raquelle Collins from Mississippi demonstrated her remarkable fighting skills against her experienced male opponent and was declared the winner of the match. “I was overwhelmed at the dedication that these competitors expressed,” said Bradley Bartlett, radio show host on WBZR, Hot 105.9 FM, who conducted after fight interviews with some of the Kung fu Sanda fighters. “I was extremely impressed by this dedication demonstrated by Raquelle Collins,” he added.
The winners from the Main Event matches were: Adrian Weathersby, a student of Trammell Fitness from Fayetville, Georgia, who was declared the winner in a very heated match against Juan Lozada. Although Adrian was only a very young 18 year old, his dynamics, explosiveness and high rate of constant offense strategy along with his speed and total commitment as well as precision of execution totally overwhelmed his bigger and more experienced opponent Juan Lozada of Marietta, Georgia.
Akihiro Numamura, who is also from Shaolin Institute Norcross, Georgia, won his match over Elias Banuelos from Florida. Although they looked very unevenly matched, the much smaller and younger teen fighter, Akihiro defeated Florida’s more experienced and much bigger fighter with overwhelming swift changing strategy, speed and precision.
Joshua Joseph from the Shaolin Institute Atlanta campus of Norcross GA edged out a victory over his opponent Eric Heagaard from Trammell Fitness, Atlanta Georgia. Both of them are experienced, strong fighters, and both of them put all they could in terms of skills and power. However, eventually the younger, less experienced Joshua Joseph overwhelmed his opponent by power, skills and endurance.
The skinny, tall, and younger freshman fighter, Deonte Durgens from Shaolin Institute Mobile campus crushed his opponent, a much stronger senior fighter Delmarcus Boddie from Mobile, Alabama by constant offensive strategies and pressure.
Jeff Bessette of Houma, Louisiana edged out a victory over Andre Jones of Mobile, Alabama when Jones was unable to complete a third round of their bout due to a kick to the ribs that left him feeling winded.
The last pair of fighters was the super heavy weight Nate Williams from Trammell Fitness, Atlanta Georgia against Jason Horne X, a kickboxing instructor from New Orleans, LA. By skills, it looked as though Jason had a much stronger hand, but his cardio eventually gave him up. Nate Williams came out as a much dynamic in skills and more endurable fighter with overwhelming victory.
Some of the sponsors for this KSF competition included: World Financial Group in Mobile, Alabama; Advanced Transmission in Spanish Fort, Alabama and Rick's Gun and Pawn Shop in Foley, Alabama. Among some of the perks for sponsorship were various types of advertisement during the event and on social media. Also, sponsors had opportunity to get pictures with the fighters and event t-shirts autographed by the winning fighters.
This competition was just the first of many more that are yet to come. Preparations for the next KSF competition on November 8th, 2014 are already being made and scheduled to take place at Mobile Civic Center In Mobile AL. This event is promising to have more national and international level teams throughout the country and many other countries world wide.
