Whipsaw Wins Gold and Silver at the International Design Awards Competition
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- Whipsaw Inc., the Silicon Valley-based Industrial Design and Engineering firm that creates innovative products for companies around the globe, is honored to win 3 Gold and 1 Silver award at the International Design Awards competition.
A handful of designers, thinkers and entrepreneurs created the International Design Awards in 2007 as a response to the lack of recognition and celebration for smart and sustainable multidisciplinary design. This year, a dozen jurors examined over 1000 entries submitted by architects and designers of interiors, fashion, products, and graphics from 52 countries throughout the world. After final decisions had been made, the jury rewarded the best professional and emerging designers for their achievements in terms of design, creativity, usability and innovation.

The winners are:
Halfdome Bike Helmet - an innovative bike helmet that easily folds in half so you can stuff it in a backpack, purse or locker when not in use. Increased convenience, outstanding safety and a fashionable look - all in one!
Dropcam Pro - a compact Wi-Fi video camera for monitoring one’s home or business. The camera is HD quality and wirelessly records video to the Cloud. All video can be viewed - real time or recorded - on your smartphone or tablet. It also has audio so you can communicate through the camera. Dropcam was recently acquired by Google Nest Labs.
Livescribe 3 - a “smartpen” that instantly syncs your handwritten notes with your iPhone or iPad, allowing you to share your digitized notes via e-mail, Dropbox, Evernote, etc. It also records audio at the time of writing and syncs it with your notes.
Google Chromecast - an inexpensive dongle-like digital media player that connects to your TV’s HDMI port to stream audio and video content directly to your TV screen via Wi-Fi. Access to Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, YouTube, and hundreds more, is easily navigated from your own smartphone or tablet.
