Whole Body Research Announces Completion of the Next Phase of Their Green Manufacturing Initiative
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 19, 2014 -- Whole Body Research announced today the implementation of the newest phase of their green initiative. In line with their mission of providing their customers with all-natural, high-quality products to promote health and wellness, Whole Body Research’s green initiative aims to extend their investment in healthful living to a healthful planet.
Whole Body Research is advancing their green initiative by switching to 100% post-consumer recycled material for all of their supplement bottles.
“We are excited to be moving in this direction,” Assistant Product Developer, Arjun Avila. “We at Whole Body Research are committed to helping people be healthier and happier, and we want to extend that to the world around us.”
Whole Body Research has already taken steps to ensure that the impact the company has on the environment is as small as possible. All of their paper packaging comes from 100% recycled materials.
Most recently, the company installed solar panels at their laboratory and headquarters as a way to cut energy costs and maintain as tiny of a carbon footprint as possible.
“Installing solar panels on our Los Angeles sites was a no-brainer,” said a spokesperson. “We get sunlight 90% of the year, so why not harness that solar energy? It benefits both us and the planet.”
The next step is switching out their current bottles for some with a lower environmental impact. The new bottles will be constructed of 100% post-consumer recycled material.
Once the new containers are a part of the final product, all of Whole Body Research’s product lines will be made of entirely eco-conscious materials, from the packaging to the product itself.
The post-consumer recycled containers will be rolled out by next month, as the company hopes to be the industry leader in eco-conscious operations.
“The change in containers for our products is only the beginning,” said a PR representative. “Whole Body Research aims to be at the head of the green movement in the health supplement industry. We’ve always been leaders amongst our competitors. We want to set a high benchmark,” she said.
The company has several plans in the works, as it seeks to position itself as the industry paragon of environmental responsibility.
They have just recently applied for green business certification with the Los Angeles Green Business Program and have been working hand-in-hand with the U.S. Postal Service to minimize their packing materials for shipping, thereby reducing total waste.
Whole Body Research is committed to an ongoing investment in finding new and creative solutions for protecting the environment.
