Why Men Hate Church Explored at Lifetree Cafe
Loveland, CO (PRWEB) January 19, 2015 -- A growing trend of men avoiding church will be examined at Lifetree Café Lifetree Cafés around the country the week of January 25.
The program, titled “Why Men Hate Church: An Open Forum on the Male Exodus,” features a filmed interview with author and church analyst David Murrow.
“Men don’t hate Jesus, but they do hate the mechanics of going to church,” says Murrow, who points out that a typical church doesn’t appeal to male values. “If church was a show on TV, it would be on the Oprah network.”
Lifetree Café national director Craig Cable explained this Lifetree session provides an opportunity for attendees to discuss both the reasons for and consequences of men abandoning church involvement.
“Research shows that 61% of the church going population is comprised of women” said Cable. “We’ll take time to consider why this is and if there is any way to reverse this continuing pattern”
Lifetree Café is a national network of venues where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual coffeehouse-type setting.
