Wigwam Takes New Direction in Product Management, Web, and E-Commerce
Sheboygan, WI (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- Wigwam recently appointed Margaret Newhard as the new Director of Product Management, Website and E-commerce
While she spent time working at Wigwam in her younger years, Margaret’s career after attending Villanova University started with experience at the well-known outdoor chain, Gander Mountain in St. Paul, MN followed by experience at a Fingerhut Direct Marketing as an E-commerce Analyst. After gaining knowledge of both the outdoor market as well as e-commerce and direct marketing, Margaret made her transition back to Wigwam starting as the Field Marketing Manager. Following several years in marketing, she moved to the sales side and became Director of Sales for the Western half of the country managing 6 sales agencies representing Wigwam.
The newly married, Margaret Newhard, now resides comfortably back in her home town of Sheboygan, WI where she works hands on at the Wigwam headquarters directing Wigwam’s product development, website, and e-commerce strategy and execution. "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to call Sheboygan home again and be hands on with my brother and dad” said, Margaret Newhard.
When you ask Margaret why she loves working at Wigwam she’ll tell you, "Passion truly drives the success of a family business. It's what drew my brother and I back to Wigwam after kick starting our careers with other companies. It is also what keeps my dad in the office every day of the week and loving every minute of it. You can't miss the enthusiasm and it's contagious."
"There are innumerable companies selling socks in today’s retail environment and competition is fierce. Product development is a major key in staying relevant in the space and driving sales. It is really exciting to have the chance to set the precedent and influence design and color. This is just what will keep Wigwam fresh for another 108 years,” Margaret commented.
