Wilco Youth Program Pays Off for Kids
Mt. Angel, Oregon (PRWEB) October 09, 2017 -- Wilco Stores Youth Program pays out $151,000 in rewards cards as rebates to 4H and FFA kids. At the end of the summer fair season these reward cards are sent out based on purchases made.
From animal projects to raise sheep, hogs, cattle, rabbits, chickens, to showing horses to nursery and crop production, kids with youth accounts are deeply involved in the agricultural areas Wilco serves.
“This is one of our favorite programs. 4H and FFA are home to such great kids. We’re happy to help out with the discount program and send out the reward cards to jumpstart future projects,” says TJ Colson, Director of Store Operations.
In addition to the rebates, the Youth Program features discounts in departments that would directly benefit 4H and FFA projects. Thousands of kids in Oregon and Washington participate each year in the program. While Wilco has changed the program over the years, the focus on programs to benefit agriculture youth remains the same and the reward card rebates have been a hit.
The youth program is in addition to the FFA Forever campaign that raises over $150,000 each year for Oregon and Washington FFA programs.
“FFA Forever and the Youth Programs complement each other so well. FFA Forever funds benefit the organizations and chapters who support the kids. What’s great about the Youth Program is it directly benefits the kids day-to-day projects,“ says TJ.
