(http://www.PogoTec.com) announced today that William Pate, former Chief Marketing Officer of BellSouth and the current President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, has joined the Board of PogoTec™. PogoTec™ is a developer and enabler of electronic wearable devices and mobile wireless energy transfer. The company’s core proprietary offerings being developed are; Look & Shoot™ (which is a small ultra-compact camera), On-Track™ (a system for attaching electronic wearable devices to eyewear without impacting the fashion look of the eyewear) and Pogo-Power™.
PogoTec™ announced last month that it had invented and was developing Pogo-Power™ a truly Mobile Wireless Power Hotspot. Pogo-Power™ is being developed to work without restriction to geolocation and should work with any and all compatible electronic wearable devices.

Mr. Pate is currently the president and CEO of Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), leading an organization responsible for maintaining tourism as one of the city's top economic drivers. The hospitality industry brought over 48 million visitors to metro Atlanta in 2014, generating more than $14 billion in visitor spending and sustaining more than 230,000 jobs. Prior to joining ACVB, Pate served as president of Career Sports & Entertainment, a national sports marketing and representation firm.
Mr. Pate is also the former chief marketing officer of BellSouth, one of the world's largest communications companies, where he supervised all marketing operations in the U.S. and in 14 Latin American countries.

He has received many awards and honors for his work from both Advertising Age and the American Marketing Association. He has been named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle's 100 Most Influential Atlantans every year since 2009.
Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International recognized Pate in 2011 as one of the Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing. He was named 2010 corporate marketer of the year by the Atlanta Chapter of the American Marketing Association. For the past two years, he has been named one of the 50 most admired CEOs in Atlanta according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Mr. Pate is a past chairman of the board of the Atlanta Sports Council, the Chick-fil-A Bowl and ACVB. He serves on the board of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, College Football Hall of Fame, Commerce Club, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Chick-fil-A Bowl, as well as on the Board of Councilors of the Carter Presidential Center.
