William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Participates in Highest Darien Sale Since 2013
Darien, Conn. (PRWEB) February 20, 2015 -- William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Darien, Conn. agents Nancy and Phil Crosland represented the buyer in the highest sale Darien has seen since October 2013, the firm announced today. The Long Island Sound-front property, located on Long Neck Point Road and owned at one time by actor Christopher Plummer, sold for $11,200,000.
With over 200 feet of direct waterfront, the property offers more than two manicured acres with a private beach, stone terrace and custom-designed oceanfront swimming pool with spa. Originally built in 1866 as a carriage house, the home has been transformed over the years to maintain its historic integrity by several owners, including the actor Christopher Plummer. This transaction was the highest in Darien since October 2013, when another Long Neck Point home sold for $14,900,000. In this January 2015 sale, Halstead represented the seller.
