Wine Community Welcomes iPhone App Showing Corkage Fees at Restaurants

Miami, FL (PRWEB) August 11, 2014 -- Wine lovers now have a new app to help them find restaurants in their area that allow them to "Bring Your Own Wine" (BYOW). The CorkageFee app gives users information on how much each restaurant across the United States charges to open and serve a bottle of wine brought in by the customer, as well as offers a host of other features, including uploaded wine lists, restaurant location and contact details, and the opportunity to review and rate the dining experience.

The app launched with verified corkage fees for different US locations, including Miami, FL, New York, NY, Chicago, IL, and California cities, like San Francisco, Napa, Santa Barbara and Sonoma.

Wine sales reached record levels last year with $36.3 billion worth of wine being shipped in the United States. Despite the soaring popularity of wine, consumers still find it difficult and time-consuming to get information on corkage prices when choosing a restaurant to dine at.

In addition to finding out the corkage fees of nearby restaurants, the other key benefit of CorkageFee is the reviews and ratings section where wine enthusiasts can comment on the wine and dining experience at each restaurant.
