Wines for Humanity Helped Raise over Half a Million Dollars for Charity in 2013; Strives to Make a Million Dollar Difference in 2014
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 07, 2014 -- Wines for Humanity, a for-profit company specializing in direct to consumer wines promotions through in-home wine tastings, announced today it donated $119,226 to homeless charities nationwide in 2013. And that’s not all, Wines for Humanity helped raise another estimated $400,000 for other various charities through its wine tasting fundraising programs.
“Our little company gives 12%-17% from every regular paid tasting to charities nationwide and we are proud of that,” said owner and visionary of the company, Anton Steinhart.
Wines for Humanity has big plans to make a big difference in 2014. “We call it our Million Dollar Difference. It’s going to be challenging to try and make a million dollar difference for charity in one year, but we have a strong commitment from all our Wine Advisors in the field to reach that goal. Wines for Humanity was founded in 2007 by Anton Steinhart whose mission is to help end homelessness in America. Independent Wine Advisors in 9 different states promote exclusive wines at in-home wine tastings, corporate events and charity events and a portion of the proceeds from every bottle promoted at each tasting/event are donated to a local charity benefiting the homeless and other charities to help the community.
