Wines From Spain Gears Up for the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen
ASPEN, Colo. (PRWEB) June 07, 2018 -- Wines From Spain, responsible for the promotion of Spanish wines in the US, announces its return to Aspen for the 2018 Food & Wine Classic. Wines From Spain – the only country with its own, exclusive tent – will be returning for its 26th year to showcase the diversity of Spanish wines through seminars and tastings.
Kicking off the festival, Wines From Spain will host its annual “Welcome Event”, a by-invitation-only event being co-hosted by Chef Seamus Mullen, the award-winning New York City based chef, restaurateur and cookbook author, known for his inventive yet approachable Spanish cuisine. Seamus opened his first solo restaurant, Tertulia, in Manhattan in 2011, which was a finalist for the James Beard Foundation Award for Best New Restaurant. In 2013, he opened El Colmado, a Spanish tapas and wine bar at Gotham West Market in Hell’s Kitchen.
From June 15-17, Wines From Spain will return to its iconic Grand Tasting tent in the center of Wagner Park, joined by regional associations, importers and winery representatives, all pouring incredible wines from all corners of Spain. The tent will also feature an array of Spanish food products and tapas prepared by Basalt based Chef Javier González-Bringas. In total, there will be 20 wine tables and 4 food tables.
In addition to the Grand Tasting, Aspen ticketholders are encouraged to learn more about Spain’s incredible wines and cuisine during the following seminars:
- Spanish Wines for Millionaires | Presented by Mark Oldman
o June 15-16 from 10:00–10:45 a.m. and June 17 from 10:30–11:15 a.m.
- The Priorat: Amazing Reds from Spain's Ancient Vines | Presented by Andy Chabot
o June 15-16 from 2:00–2:45 p.m.
- Spain is the G.O.A.T. | Presented by Andrew Zimmern
o June 16: 3:45 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
