Winner of LearningRx National Presidents Day Contest Announced
Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) February 11, 2015 -- A student from Frisco, Texas has just been announced as the winner in a national Presidents Day contest for his impressive brain skills.
Eleven-year-old John Mark of Frisco, Texas took first place in LearningRx’s annual contest for reciting the presidents––in order–– while jumping on a pogo stick and catching a “properly inflated football.”
According to Julie Chambers, Director at LearningRx Frisco, "The Presidents Procedure is one of the first things LearningRx students master in our brain training programs. It quickly strengthens long-term memory, attention and other cognitive skills, and it also gives a big boost of self-confidence. Many of these kids have struggled in school for years, so when they can quickly learn all the presidents they feel smart and confident, often for the first time ever."
John Mark completed his brain training program at LearningRx Frisco in September 2014. During his final celebration at the center, John Mark’s mother, Becca, read the following:
“We’ve always known that you are an extra-special kid, and your completion of this program proves it even more. The skills you’ve learned in brain training are already being used in your great adventures in sixth grade. We can see huge improvements in your ability to focus and plan and in your motivation to succeed.”
When asked about his time at LearningRx John Mark said, “My experience was fun, exciting, and challenging all at the same time!”
