Winners Announced for the First Annual VMX Awards
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 23, 2016 -- The Video Marketing Excellence (VMX) Awards today announced the winners of the first annual awards program honoring brands, agencies, publishers and creators producing superior video content to support brand marketing.
The seven categories included Best Branded Web Series, Best Multi-Platform Video Marketing and Best Marketer-Driven Influencer Video. The esteemed judging pane l included Stacy Minero of Twitter, Jim Therkalsen of Facebook, Kathryn Friedrich of YouTube, Chet Fenster of MEC, Russ Axelrod of Turf Agency, Justin Danko, media consultant, Becca Paoletti of CakeWorks and John McCarus of Federated Media.
“I was very impressed by the breadth and quality of the submissions received for this inaugural event – from subject matter, to distribution vehicle, to brand,” said Becca Paoletti, CEO and Co-Founder of CakeWorks. “What resonated most was how bold many of the entrants were in their quest to reach consumers, across myriad social platforms, with cause-related messages and real human stories. Much of the creative went far beyond just “video advertising.”

- Intel “What Lives Inside” for Best Branded Web Series
- 2015 MTV and Trojan VMA Campaign with Laci Green submitted by Viacom Velocity for Best Marketer-Driven Influencer Campaign
- #ISurvivedEbola submitted by Vulcan Productions for Best Multi-Platform Marketing
Tylenol’s #HowWeFamily was selected as Best in Show and Optus’ Launch of Netflix with Ricky Gervais took home Judges’ Choice Award. Old Navy’s YouTube channel was selected using data from the OpenSlate platform to win Emerging Brand Channel on YouTube. To see the winning submissions, click here.
