Winners Named in Milford Valley 2013 “Art of Chicken” Contest
Milford, Ind. (PRWEB) December 13, 2013 -- Milford Valley has selected the winning entries in the 2013 “Art of Chicken” Photo Contest. The contest challenged entrants from across the country to use chicken product packaging in unique creations that captured the Milford Valley brand. Photographs of the creations were then submitted to the company’s Facebook page for judging.
Taking the Grand Prize of $5,000 was Kim Funk, of Mobile, Alabama, for her shopping cart-themed design, complete with female shopper and miniature Milford Valley chicken entrée packages in the shopping cart. A creation dubbed, “Family at the Table,” by Vee Lark, of Los Angeles, CA, earned second place honors. The entry features a cardboard cut-out family sitting down to a meal of Milford Valley chicken entrées. The third place award of $500 went to Lennis Mathews, of Wauwatosa, WI, for her incorporation of the Milford Valley logo and “film” chicken packaging into a full-size homemade quilt.
All entries were judged on representation of the Milford Valley brand and/or Milford Valley chicken products, as well as creativity and originality.
“This was Milford Valley’s first year for the contest, and we’re very pleased with the results,” said Carmen Darland, Milford Valley’s marketing manager. “The creative talent demonstrated by our contestants was amazing.”
