Winter Means Group Savings at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Largo-Washington DC
LARGO, MD (PRWEB) December 14, 2016 -- As 2016 comes to an end, those planning last minute meetings in the Washington, DC area for the first quarter of 2017 scramble for rooms and function space. To help with Washington, DC bound groups, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Largo-Washington DC is offering a “Sweet” Meeting Package Promotion meeting package. The hotel is managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, an operator of over 100 hotels throughout North America, including 14 in the Washington, DC area offering multi-functional meeting space.
“We have become extremely popular with those who plan small to medium size meetings,” said Ralph Randall, General Manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton in Largo, just outside the nation’s capital. “We understand that many meeting planners want a brand name they know and trust such as DoubleTree and desire a location close to Washington, DC… all without the downtown hotel price tag.” The hotel is the only full service hotel in the Largo area making it a major player for the area’s meeting travel business. Last year the hotel completed a full renovation of their 3,700 square feet of meeting space as well as all public space and their 184 guest rooms.
The “Sweet” Meeting Package Promotion (when booked by January 16, 2017) includes:
• Meeting Room
• Continental Breakfast
• AM/PM Breakfast (including the famous DoubleTree cookies)
• Lite Lunch
The “Sweet” Meeting Promotion is good for those meetings held before March 31, 2017, with group room rates starting at $89.
“We are still offering the Sweet Meeting Promotion over the presidential inauguration, although space is starting to book up,” said Randall. Randall credits the interest in the hotel over the inauguration to the hotel’s prime location just outside Washington, DC and its complimentary shuttle to a Metrorail stop. Although the promotion will be available, it will have a higher price point. Randall states the price will be about half the price of the downtown hotels. He noted that the downtown hotels will also change a premium for meeting space, while the DoubleTree is including space, meals and breaks in the price.
