Wireless Analyst Jeff Kagan on Virgin Mobile USA New No-Contract Data Sharing Plans at Walmart
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 19, 2015 -- According to the Sprint, Virgin Mobile USA press release dated Jan. 16, they have announced their introduction of the industries first no-contract data sharing plans available at Walmart.
Industry analyst Jeff Kagan offers comment.
“It looks like Sprint is launching another very interesting no-contract plan for data sharing through their Virgin Mobile USA brand,” says Wireless Analyst Jeff Kagan.
“This is refreshing to see Sprint really hitting the ground running. Sprint seems to be actively rebuilding their brand,” says Telecom Analyst Kagan.
“Walmart is one of the heaviest hitters in the wireless space. They don’t sell to everyone, only one slice of the customer pie, but that’s an important slice. Plenty of wireless phones and smartphones are sold at Walmart every single day. This gives Sprint another opportunity for growth through that channel,” says Kagan.
This is a pre-paid service and customers have a choice of four 4G LTE 1 smartphones to start. Virgin Mobile says more devices will be rolled out at the end of February. All devices are pre-loaded with the Virgin Mobile data-sharing application.
