Wisconsin-based Festival Foods Announces Operations Leadership Changes
Green Bay, Wisconsin (PRWEB) March 26, 2015 -- Festival Foods, which operates 20 grocery stores across Wisconsin, has announced leadership changes to its senior operations team. These changes position the organization for continued growth in 2015 and beyond.
Marlin Greenfield, Chief Operating Officer, will transition into a new role as Senior Operations Leader for the company. This role provides him the flexibility to serve as a mentor and advisor to the Senior Leadership Team and store directors throughout the organization. “Marlin joined the Festival Foods team 25 years ago and brought with him a variety of experience in different retail grocery formats, which was essential to our growth and winning culture,” said Mark Skogen, President and CEO of Festival Foods.
Greenfield’s decision to take on a new role provided the opportunity to evaluate the senior operations structure and the talent within the team. As a result, Mike Mesich, previously Vice President of Store Operations, has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations. He will lead all of the company’s operations in this role. Mesich joined the Festival Foods team in 2006 as Vice President of Store Operations and has been involved in the grocery business all his life. After working for the Copps Corporation for 26 years, he became a business partner in three grocery stores located in Appleton, Kimberly and Shawano. During his years with Festival, he has led significant changes to the company’s labor management process, which increased productivity and lowered costs.
“Marlin’s willingness to mentor our leadership team through this transition is priceless. We are well-positioned with a great leader like Mike taking on the Senior Vice President of Operations responsibilities … we have exciting years ahead of us,” said Skogen.
