Wise School Receives 5-Star Award for Gifted Programming
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 11, 2015 -- The California Association for the Gifted (CAG) has awarded Wise School the Five Star Award for Gifted Education in recognition for its use of the standards for gifted education for all students, and by being a model to show how gifted education can be generalized to effect all children in a school. Wise School is honored to be one of just four schools, and the only Jewish day school, to receive this prestigious award.
CAG acknowledges the efforts of educational agencies that have continuously and comprehensively maintained the quality of gifted education. The idea that the education of gifted students is valued and the realization that the education of the gifted affects the quality of education for all students underscores the purposes for the honor that accompanies the Five Star Gifted Program Award.
Director of Curriculum and Instruction Karen Anderson will be teaching in the CAG conference demonstration school and presenting sessions, along with selected members of the teaching staff.
This acknowledgement of Wise School’s work in partnership with faculty members from the USC Rossier School of Education is not only an honor, it demonstrates that the Wise Learning Process is recognized statewide as a model for cutting-edge educational practices; it is grounded in the belief that all children have the capacity, creativity, and curiosity to engage in gifted education strategies and learning opportunities.
