WiseKids to Launch New Interactive Storybook App for Kids
(PRWEB) November 21, 2013 -- “No matter how technologically advanced the world becomes, the essentials of education will never change,” says Stephen Lee, the CEO of WiseKids. “Children need to be taught to learn human values and build their own dreams.” With this objective in mind, WiseKids is pleased to announce the official launch of a new interactive application series that will take story time to the next level—affording children an interactive experience, becoming a part of the story.
The stories produced for the apps—starting with classics such as Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty and Jack and the Beanstalk—are created in tandem with top-of-the-line illustrators and authors, and include many features that provide parents and children with a truly inspirational and educational experience. Those features include interactive illustrations, a two-language toggle feature, seven different language texts and narrations, and three different reading modes to support readers of all ages and reading levels.
There are many ‘authoring tools’ out there for authors but features such as interactions, language, sound, narration and other technological features are inadequate. Thus, it is a difficult, expensive and long process for individuals to produce their own quality ebooks. WiseKids created an internal development process that makes it easier for authors and illustrators to create high quality products to help those who want to publish their work.
With the launch of the new app series, WiseKids has finished establishing its own unique development infrastructure to enable easy production of book apps. Beginning in 2014, Pink Paw Books is able and planning to produce between 40 and 50 books a year. The company urges illustrators and authors experiencing obstacles due to inadequate technological resources to make submissions through the Pink Paw Books website (http://pinkpawbooks.com/).
Additionally, WiseKids’ Pink Paw Books is inviting authors and illustrators from around the globe to participate in creating quality content for their interactive book series. In addition to their interactive interpretations of classic fairytales, they are also producing an Interactive Storybook Series for original stories.
“We just hope that our children can enjoy meaningful experiences, and we want to enrich their creative, imaginary worlds by sharing stories and lessons through our products,” says Stephen Lee. “This is what we believe that true education is supposed to be.”
